Information Systems provides the technology and communications tools used by the PCO, and oversees development of information systems including those used to draft, publish, and reprint legislation, and hence the New Zealand Legislation website. The team supports XML systems, networking, various operations systems, and desktop tools.

The Prepublication Unit prepares legislation for publication in print and electronic formats, including Bills for the House, ensuring that all electronic files are properly structured and formatted.

The Reprints Unit is responsible for ensuring that legislation is available in an up-to-date form with amendments incorporated, producing hard-copy reprints of legislation, and for the project to officialise the database of legislation (more about reprints and officialisation).
